As a parent and long-time resident of San Ysidro, I am deeply committed to improving our local schools for the benefit of all students, families, and educators. Running for the San Ysidro School Board is personal to me—I want to create the best possible environment for our children to thrive in.
Here’s how I will work to improve our schools:
1. Prioritizing Student Success: As a parent, I understand the importance of ensuring that every child, regardless of their background or learning abilities, receives the support they need to succeed. I will champion programs that meet the diverse needs of our students, including English learners and students with special needs, to ensure no one is left behind.
2. Supporting Teachers: I know firsthand how much teachers do for our children. I will work to ensure they have the resources, training, and support necessary to inspire and teach effectively, so they can continue to provide high-quality education.
3. Engaging the Community: As a local resident, I believe our schools should reflect the values and needs of our community. I will foster strong partnerships between parents, teachers, and community members, making sure everyone has a voice in the decision-making process.
4. Transparency and Accountability: As a parent, I understand the importance of knowing how decisions affect our children. I will push for open communication and transparency in how funds are used and how policies impact students and families.
5. Innovative Solutions for the Future: I am committed to preparing our children for the future. This means investing in technology, enhancing STEM programs, and ensuring our schools have the tools and infrastructure to help students succeed in a modern world.
With your support and vote on or before November 5th, 2024, I will work tirelessly to create a brighter future for San Ysidro schools, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive. Together, we can make a difference.
